What should you pay attention to when buying a second-hand excavator?
When buying a second-hand excavator, you should pay attention to the following points:
Check engine and hydraulic system. Check the engine for oil leakage or excessive dust accumulation, and the hydraulic system for oil leakage.
Check the mechanical structure. Observe whether there are cracks or welding marks on the large and small arms and buckets of the excavator, check whether there are knock marks on the oil cylinder, and whether there are traces of oil leakage on the distribution valve.
Check the chassis and hydraulic system. Check whether the chassis has been refurbished and whether the hydraulic system is normal.
Check documents and information. Verify the seller’s documents and information, including the car owner’s ID card, vehicle registration certificate, vehicle travel book, original car purchase invoice, etc. If it is an organization, the original organization code certificate and official seal are required.
Avoid trading risks. Pay attention to whether there are risks of defrauding the deposit or full payment, as well as legal risks, such as possible disputes if a formal transfer agreement is not signed.
Consider after-sales service. Confirm the timeliness of product maintenance and guarantee and whether the after-sales service system is complete.
Be wary of price traps. Avoid being priced out of a machine that may have been refurbished or modified and may have differences in engine or exterior treatment details.
In-person on-site inspection. Whenever possible, go to the site to see and test the machine in person to ensure that the actual condition of the equipment matches the description.
Avoid deposit risks. Avoid paying the deposit easily before checking the equipment in person to prevent unscrupulous merchants from losing contact after receiving the deposit.
Verify vehicle legality. Make sure that the excavator purchased has not exceeded its service life or displacement limit and can be legally licensed.
Through these inspections, the condition of the used excavator can be more comprehensively evaluated and the purchase risk can be reduced.
