Fuel-saving tips for construction machinery

1. Excavator arm and bucket selection tips

Many new users will think that the larger the bucket of the excavator, the faster the work will be done and the higher the work efficiency will be. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. The bucket capacity is determined based on the stacking capacity of the bucket. However, due to different materials, the loading capacity in actual work is also different. For example, wet clay, this material may have a bucket excavation coefficient as high as 100-110%, but some stones have a lower bucket capacity coefficient.

The length of the excavator arm determines the digging force of the excavator. In the actual work of the operator, if the excavator is equipped with a short arm, it is suitable to be equipped with a larger bucket, so that the digging force is larger; if it is equipped with a longer arm, the excavation range will be controlled larger.

Therefore, users should choose the appropriate bucket according to the working conditions, which can significantly save fuel. In addition to buckets, there is also a lot of knowledge in the selection of bucket teeth. Penetrating bucket teeth are more wear-resistant, which can improve efficiency and save fuel in actual work.

2. Fuel-saving tips for excavator excavation

So what height of platform is most suitable? The data of the platform height is determined by the length of the bucket rod. The distance between the two pins is the ideal height. In order to save fuel, in addition to controlling the working height and distance, there is also the excavation cycle time. Each bucket of excavation is controlled between 24 and 28 seconds, and 4-6 buckets are controlled to fill a truck within 2 minutes.

And the bucket filling factor is controlled at 80-110%, and each bucket should be dug as full as possible. During the excavation process, the number of rotations should be reduced as much as possible, and the rotation angle should be reduced to less than 60 degrees. Although the excavator's rotation range can be controlled by oneself, useless rotation ranges will only consume fuel and have no effect on improving work efficiency.
