Tips: Abnormal oil consumption? Why?
When the engine is working, the oil lubricates various important parts (such as turbochargers, pistons, cylinder liners, etc.). In this process, some of the oil will be burned, and some of the oil will be evaporated by the high heat of the engine and discharged from the respirator. When the engine is suspected of burning oil, the correct method should be used to detect oil consumption first. At the same time, the working condition of the engine (exhaust, power, lower exhaust, etc.) and whether the engine is leaking oil should be detected.
The oil consumption of all models of Sany engines is within the normal range of 0.2% (2 liters of oil are consumed for every 1,000 liters of fuel burned).
1. The matching of various engine parts has a certain tolerance range. The differences between the assembly tolerances of these parts will cause different oil consumption even for the same model of machine.
2. The oil consumption may be different due to different equipment working conditions. The greater the engine load and the higher the temperature, the lower the oil viscosity will be, and the oil entering the combustion chamber will increase accordingly.
3. When the machine is operating on an inclined or uneven surface, the oil in the oil pan sways back and forth, constantly colliding with the high-speed rotating crankshaft, forming a mist that is discharged from the vent to the outside, increasing the oil consumption.
Causes of abnormal oil consumption
1. The air filter element and oil filter are not replaced, and dirty air and plate-contaminated oil will cause abnormal wear of the piston and cylinder sleeve, which will increase the oil consumption.
2. Using inferior fuel will produce carbon deposits and some harmful substances in the combustion chamber, which will cause abnormal wear of the cylinder sleeve and piston, and increase the oil consumption.
